We are excited to welcome students back for the 2025–2026 school year! However, we want to share an important update regarding the first day of school.
As many of you know, we have been working diligently to complete interior renovations at Avalon and Elmwood Elementary Schools. While we are very close to finishing, we need one additional day to ensure that every space meets the high standards we expect for our students and staff.
Our incredible elementary staff have spent the holiday weekend preparing their classrooms, and they look outstanding. Their dedication and attention to detail reflect the excellence we strive for across South Lake Schools. We want the rest of the building to match the high bar they have set.
There will be no school on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for Avalon and Elmwood Elementary students. The first day of school will now be a full day on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
